The situation
Fund managers raising a next vehicle, or seeking additional capital into an existing structure, without an in-house investor relations function and without the LP relationships to run a process at institutional standard.
The constraint
LP fundraising is a relationship business with a materials problem attached. Most sub-scale GPs have one or the other. The ones who have relationships often have a deck that doesn't survive an investment committee. The ones with polished materials often have no way into the rooms.
What Zenith built
A senior advisor with an established global LP network is placed on the mandate and backs the GP and the strategy personally, making introductions direct to decision-makers rather than to gatekeepers, and working on the fundraise materials alongside the process.
The transferable point
The two failure modes are independent. Fixing the materials doesn't open the rooms, and access doesn't survive a weak investment committee pack.
